Oracle Park Parking

24 Willie Mays Plaza, San Francisco, California 94107

NOTICE: Traffic in San Francisco by the Oracle Park can get busier at times of the major events. We typically recommend allowing extra time to arrive, park and walk to the venues entrance.

Oracle Park, home of the San Francisco Giants, is located at 24 Willie Mays Plaza in San Francisco, California. With its waterfront setting in the bustling South Beach neighborhood, parking can be challenging, especially during games and events. This guide covers on-site options, nearby lots, street parking, fees, and tips to help you navigate.

On-Site Parking Options

Oracle Park offers several official parking lots, all requiring advance reservations via SpotHero or pre-paid passes, particularly for high-demand areas. Lots open three hours before first pitch and close around 2 a.m. for night games or 11 p.m. for day games. – Pier 30/32: Situated along the Embarcadero near Bryant Street, this lot holds about 750 vehicles. Tailgating is prohibited, and oversized vehicles (e.g., RVs) are not allowed due to weight limits. – One Bryant (Lot 26): Across from Pier 30/32, it accommodates 150 vehicles. Oversized vehicles are permitted if space allows, but no tailgating. – Lot A/Pier 48: Currently under construction due to the Mission Rock project, access is via Mission Rock Street and Terry Francois Boulevard. It provides ample spaces but requires extra time for entry. A free accessibility shuttle runs every 5-10 minutes pre-game, starting two hours before first pitch, and continues post-game. Tailgating is allowed in Lot A but not Pier 48. – Lot C: Similar reservation requirements apply. Fees are dynamic: standard rates range from $20–$40 per game, doubling for oversized vehicles. ADA parking is available in designated spots with a state-issued placard, often near shuttle stops.

Nearby Parking Lots

Beyond on-site options, over 10,000 spaces exist in garages and lots within a mile or two, many bookable via apps like SpotHero, ParkWhiz, or ParkMobile. Affordable spots start at $12–$15 on streets like 5th, with garages across from the park charging $20–$25 or more during events. Lots along the Embarcadero offer convenience at $20–$40. Walking a few extra blocks can save money, and reservations guarantee availability.

Street Parking Options

Street parking is limited but possible, especially further from the venue. Use apps like SpotAngels to find free or metered spots. In Special Event Areas around Oracle Park, meters charge until later in the evening (often 10 p.m. or midnight) compared to standard city hours, with rates up to $7/hour during peaks. Enforcement is strict; unpaid meters result in tickets. Free parking may be available in residential areas like Dogpatch, but check for restrictions, time limits, and event-day rules. Avoid blocking driveways or hydrants to prevent towing.

General Parking Tips

Plan ahead: Reserve spots early via apps to avoid sold-out lots and inflated prices. Consider public transit (Muni, BART, or ferries) or rideshares to bypass parking hassles altogether – Oracle Park is well-connected. Arrive early for construction delays in Lot A/Pier 48, and factor in post-game traffic, which can add 30–60 minutes. For tailgating, stick to designated areas in Lot A. Families or those with mobility needs should prioritize ADA options and shuttles. Always check the Giants’ website or apps for real-time updates, as construction and events can alter availability. With preparation, parking at Oracle Park can be stress-free.
